The smart transportation industry also faces four major bottlenecks. One is the lack of core technology. At present, China's intelligent transportation industry lacks the core technology in many fields, and the critical equipment still relies heavily on imports, which greatly restricts the further development of the intelligent transportation industry.

Second, technical standards are not uniform. Failure to form a technical standardization, lead to market access, the lack of a certain threshold, the lack of guarantee product quality, reduce the credibility of the product, to popularize and apply on a large scale, to the end of the concept of intelligent transportation.

Third, the industrial chain is difficult to integrate. The above problems have shown that China has a relatively low level of professional intelligent transportation enterprises and is in a decentralized state. It is difficult to integrate the industrial chain.

Fourth, market demand is insufficient. Period due to the concept of intelligent traffic lights at the stage of market, the consumer understanding of most intelligent transportation products and services limited, potential demand fails to fully release, the intelligent transportation companies cannot achieve economies of scale, thus affect the whole intelligent transportation industry development speed and development space.
